Milagros Counseling and Wellness
Dr. Jeanette (Dr. J) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience, including her work as a NYC school counselor and a member of the city-wide crisis team. She has led arts-based counseling workshops for students and professionals, and empowered incarcerated teens through transformative writing programs.
As the founder of the Falcon Network and host of the Wise Women’s Pride podcast, Dr. Jeanette blends creativity, advocacy, and healing. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Supervision, with research focused on exploring empathy, cultural humility, and imagination through innovative, hope-centered practices.
Dr. Jeanette is also a professor, teaching graduate-level courses in counseling and multiculturalism. Her teaching reflects her passion for shaping the next generation of culturally responsive, empathetic counselors.
